An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Asbestos Control Manager to work within the public sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an exciting and progressive organisation. The role is initially for 9 months with the likelihood of this being extended.
As Asbestos Control Manager you will:
Manage asbestos across a diverse property portfolio, maintaining and inputting data and systems
Monitor existing asbestos surveys and identify where resurveys are required using a risk based approach
Implement and manage a prioritised programme of resurveys
Collect and analyse data in asbestos surveys with the plan to adopt a remedial work strategy
Support planning for, and responding to civil and council emergencies using skills and expertise of the post holder and in accordance with the emergency procedures.
Provide emergency contact details for the purposes of emergency and service continuity plans
Ensure legal compliance in all buildings within scope and ensure Asbestos Management Programmes are managed effectively
Essential criteria:
You will have experience working within a public sector organisation, preferably with over 5 years’ current experience within this area
You must be P402 or P405 qualified
