Founded on the 21st of July 196, the Construction Industry Training Board is also a partner in the Sector Skills Council for the construction industry in England, Scotland and Wales.
They are responsible for setting the standards and training certain UK industries. Their services also comprise informing and advising employees and people looking for a career in construction; helping in maintaining qualifications and standards in the industry; making sure the necessary skills to meet the industry's needs are available – they do that by working with construction companies to improve their skills and increase their competitiveness.
