Managing Quantity Surveyor (Civils)

Salary:  to £85k + package + bonus (lodging if required)

Based:  Hampshire (PO9)

An exciting opportunity has developed to work for a growing UK contractor on a key scheme they are delivering under a JV.  Our client has built a reputation on self-delivering complex infrastructure projects.  The project in question will deliver a key infrastructure relief to the local area for many years to come, and is at the forefront of engineering for a project of its kind.

It requires a Commercially astute Managing Quantity Surveyor to join the project and take over the day-to-day commercial tasks, reporting into the company’s head of Commercial.  You will form a close working relationship with the engineering and delivery team, under a JV, to ensure the project is delivered on time and within target.  Key criteria for the role will include:

• Able to work independently, managing a sizeable project and overseeing a small commercial team
• Strong client interfacing skills
• Strong contract management and negotiation skills
• Procurement experience backed with value engineering
• Looking for a long-term role
