Leading Construction Management organisation is looking to recruit a Senior Project Manager to play a key role in the construction of a state-of-the-art science laboratory, boasting a budget exceeding £100 million. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be the driving force behind the procurement, implementation, and close-out of architectural finishes packages, such as dry lining, high quality stone and block work, timber finishes, external works, lobby and toilet fit out.

This high-profile position demands a seasoned professional with a proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects. The successful candidate will possess a robust understanding of design processes, coupled with the expertise to navigate complex technical and buildability issues. Collaborating closely with Design Managers and external consultants, your role will be instrumental in ensuring design deliverables align seamlessly with the ambitious tender programme.

Responsibilities include the meticulous development of scope documents for tender packages, underpinning the project's strategic direction. Your keen oversight will guarantee that all design work is executed promptly and comprehensively, laying a solid foundation for the tender process.

Financial acumen will be key, as you work in tandem with the Cost Management team to ensure that the works adhere to the allocated cost plan. Your ability to pre-qualify tenderers, in line with internal procedures, will be essential in compiling a robust tender list. Your organisational skills will shine as you manage the tender process, maintaining a comprehensive written record of communications and steering the project through mid-tender meetings, updates, and queries.

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate:

• Extensive experience in project management within the construction industry.
• Experience of managing such finishes as dry lining, high quality stone and block work, timber finishes, external works, lobby and toilet fit out.
• Proven, relevant experience with fast-track design and construction programmes is essential
• A background of having achieved quality results with high-end architectural finishes is essential.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
